Pre-shipment Surveys
We specialize in comprehensive Cargo Loading inspections for shipping containers, including the assessment of damaged loads. Our expertise lies in Cargo Surveys for Import/Export and Cargo Loading inspections, as mandated by shipping lines, government entities, insurance companies, and commercial agencies. Following our thorough investigation and assessment, we furnish the customer with a detailed written report outlining our findings. Our commitment to quality work is unwavering, and we remain readily available to address any inquiries.
Our services include measuring the cargo's cubic feet for accurate freight payment and verifying its condition by documenting any visible damage before shipment at the dock, a crucial aspect for insurance purposes, carriers, and forwarders.
We take charge of supervising the entire loading process, including stowage, lashing, blocking, and bracing, ensuring the secure carriage of cargoes. We actively assist masters in load planning to meet industry standards.
Furthermore, we perform cargo handling and lashing duties both before and during loading, representing the interests of shippers, underwriters, carriers, and forwarders.
Our surveys extend to break-bulk cargo, ensuring that bills of lading and mate's receipts accurately reflect the apparent condition of the cargo during loading.
For steel cargo, we conduct out-turn surveys upon arrival at the discharge port to establish condition, identify any damages, and assess any shift that may have occurred during the voyage. We utilize Silver Nitrate testing for chloride residues and offer testing of "hatch tightness" through ultrasound or hose testing.
